Gloria Becerra

Gloria A. Becerra passed away July 5, 2017 at the age of 69. Graveside services will be 10 am Wednesday, July 12 at Oakwood Cemetery, Pastor Juan Carreon of Hiz Houze to officiate. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 11 from 6 to 8 pm at OakCrest Funeral Home.

Gloria was born July 17, 1947 and raised in Bellmead, Texas. She lived her life and raised her children in Waco.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Louis R. Becerra and her sister, Anita M. Aleman.

Gloria is survived by her children, Rita Garcia and fiance, Henry of Cleburne, Denise Cruz, Michael Garcia and wife, Norma, and Louis Becerra, all of Waco. She lovingly raised her sister’s children, Angela Aleman and Eliseo Hidrogo, both of Waco, as her own. She loved each of her 26 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Gloria is also survived by a sister, Juanita Flores of Cedarhill; 3 brothers, Ernest Aleman of Houston, Jimmy Aleman of Waco, and Steven Aleman of Arlington. She was loved by numerous nieces, nephews, and neighborhood friends that lovingly called her MOM, GRANDMA and TIA. She leaves behind many empty hearts and will be deeply missed.

Pallbearers will be Joe Jimenez, Andrew Garcia, Lupe Basquez, Henry Alvarado, Juan Iruegas, and Francisco Salazar. Michael “Speck” Salazar will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
