Gloria Garcia
June 16, 1954 – February 4, 2006
Gloria Dominguez Garcia, 51, of Waco, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, February 4, 2006 at St. Catherine's.
Services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the Mighty Wind Worship Center with Pastor Yolanda Romero officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
Visitation will start at 6 p.m. Tuesday followed by a Prayer Service at 7 p.m. at OakCrest Funeral Home.
Gloria was born June 16, 1954 in Waco to Daniel Dominguez and Tomasa (Ayala) Ramirez who preceded her in death. She worked at E.O.A.C. Headstart for 8 years, then at the Bill Daniel Student Center Cafeteria at Baylor for 8 years.
She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister who enjoyed cooking for her family.
She was a beautiful woman who enjoyed spending time outside on the front porch on sunny days, a caring woman who would feed the birds in her backyard, a precious mother who stood behind her children in good times and bad, and a devoted grandmother who took the time to listen to her grandchildren's words. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Antonio Garcia, Sr.; daughters, Marie Fajardo and husband, Homar of Waco, Becky Locke and husband, Lupe of Waco, and Monica Garcia and husband, Michael of Waco; son, Tony Garcia Jr; sisters, Hopie Perez and husband, Pasqual of Houston, and Beatrice Chavez and husband, Sotero, of Waco; brothers, Mike Dominguez and wife, Susie of Waco, and Daniel Dominguez Jr. and wife, Mona of Waco; stepfather, Trine Ramirez; aunt, Sarah Canales and husband, Larry of Taylor; uncles, Lupe Ayala and wife, Delores of Houston, and Raymond Ayala of Houston; grandchildren, Angelo Fajardo, Adrian Fajardo, Angelisa Fajado, Marceya Locke, Julian Locke, Elianah Locke, and Michael Gonzales III, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Pallbearers will be Gabriel Dominguez, Toby Dominguez, Michael Dominguez, Justin Dominguez, Angelo Fajardo, Carlos Chavez, Marcus Dominguez, Jose Manuel Garcia Jr., and Daniel Smithwick.
