Gloria Silva Mansolo, 64, of Waco, passed away Thursday, August 6, 2009 at Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday, August 10 at the OakCrest Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Rueben Andrade officiating. Burial will follow at Santa Cruz Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. with a 3 p.m. prayer service on Sunday, August 9 at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.
Gloria was born March 30, 1945 in Waco to Marshall Silva and Lillie Arevalo Silva. She was a wonderful and loving wife, mother and grandmother who always welcomed family and friends with open arms. Gloria loved her family deeply and always enjoyed gardening.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Rosa Fuentes; brother, Ernest Silva; daughter, Lydia "Irene" Mansolo; grandsons, Edward Mansolo and Jesse Garcia, Jr.; and great-nephew, Jaylon Andrade.
Gloria is survived by her husband of 42 years, John Bernal Mansolo of Waco; sons, Johnny Mansolo, Andrew Mansolo and Leanne Knutson; daughters, Theresa Adams and husband, Roger, Anita Mansolo and Richard Campos and Olivia Cobb; brothers, Marshall Silva and wife, Pam and Tony Arevalo; sister, Oralia Andrade and Joe Medrano; 13 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Erich and Joseph Adams, Andrew and Angelo Mansolo, David Fuentes, Eddie Silva, Gabriel Salinas and Tony Garcia.
