Gloria Peterson

Peterson, Gloria passed away peacefully the morning of November 22, 2021 to be with her Lord Jesus. Gloria was 81 years old, born March 23, 1940 in Big Spring, Texas.

She is preceded on her path by her Mother (Maria Nieves Villareal), Father (Romulo Villareal), Brother (Felix Villareal), and Son (Jesse Peterson).

Gloria will be remembered by her loving family including her Husband (John Peterson), Daughter (Glorianna Murry), Son In-Law (Eric Murry), and 7 Grandchildren including (Matthew Peterson, Jayme Allen, Crystal Foster, and Victoria Hooks). Gloria also has 3 Sisters, 13 Great-Grandchildren, and many other loved ones who will also remember the love she shared.

Gloria wore many hats in life, from working in the fields as a child, retiring from Mobile Chemical in Temple, and retiring from Killeen ISD as a crossing guard and Lunch Lady. She touched the lives of many children during her time at the school district. Gloria was blessed to travel the world with her Husband and children, she spent most of her time in between Harker Heights and Waco taking care of her grandchildren and family.

She attended Saint Francis Catholic Church, where she brought all the family throughout her years to attend morning mass, continuing the tradition passed on by her mother (Ama). She will be remembered as Grandma to many of us, her loving spirit will be carried on through the lessons she taught us, and she will be deeply missed by all of us.

The services will be held Tuesday November 30th at OakCrest funeral home 4520 Bosque Blvd. Waco, Texas 76710 starting at 1pm through 4pm, Gloria's ashes will be laid to rest at a private ceremony at a later date.
