OBITUARY

Guy Mitchell Rhodes, 57, of Robinson, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2005, in a Waco hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at OakCrest Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Waco Memorial Park North. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque. A memorial DVD of his life will be shown.
Guy was born February 5, 1948 to Elmer and Minnie (Johnson) Rhodes. He graduated from Texas A&M, and was a proud Aggie. He served as a Marine medic during the Vietnam conflict and earned a Silver Star.
Guy loved football, and served as the first coach for the Waco Christian Academy team. He was a former coach of the Waco Wolves semi-pro football team. He recently retired as a heavy equipment sales manager. He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Clintell Bradshaw IV.
He leaves his wife, Martha Jayne Shelby Rhodes of Robinson; son, Shelby Chandler Rhodes of Robinson; daughter, Shea Rhodes Bradshaw and husband, Clintell III, of Waco; sister, Susie Scott of Dallas; grandchildren, Amerie Thomas, Kevin Harold, and Tevin Harold; and a number of beloved nieces, nephews, and friends.
Pallbearers are Ronnie Pickard, Kenny Letson, Jesse Martinez, Mitchell Utsey, Henry Wilt, and Lamar Dunn.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
