Hamilton White 87, passed away Saturday July 15, 2006. Services will be on Thursday, July 20, at 10:00 a.m. at the First Christian Church, 2102 No. Main, in Del Rio . Burial will follow at West Lawn Cemetery.
Mr. White was born March 7, 1919, in Del Rio, Texas to James Elmer White and Martha Hamilton White. He graduated from Del Rio School and attended the University of Texas. Mr. White married Rosamond Cofield, his wife of sixty six years, in Crown Point, Indiana, June 8, 1940. He was a rancher and pilot in the Marfa/Del Rio area and an avid sailor in his later years.
Mr. White is survived by his wife, Rosamond, of Waco, daughters, M'Liss Hamilton White, and husband Bernie Jennings of San Antonio, Marcy McFarland and husband Ernest of Hubbard, sister Gene Boland of Del Rio, brothers J.E. White, II of Marfa, Tucker White of Ft. Stockton, grandchildren Lorie Willis, Marcella Hanz both of San Antonio, Rebecca Peacock of Bruceville, Ernest Hamilton McFarland of Waco, six great grandsons and three great granddaughters.
