Leslie Harold "Snookie" Jobe, 85, passed away Dec. 6, 2007 at his home in Wortham Bend. Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Sunday , Dec. 9 at Wortham Bend Cemetary behind Oak Grove Baptist Church, with Pastors John Carroll and Richard Sellers officiating.

Harold was born Aug. 10, 1922 in Wortham Bend to John Franklin Jobe and Katie Mae McCluskey Jobe. He was in the United States Army during World War II and was very proud to have served his country. He was an electrician at the Owens-Illinois Glass Co. in Waco and retired in 1982. Harold loved the Earth, the river, and the land he was born on, worked, and died on. He enjoyed hunting deer, especially in the beautiful mountains of Colorado. He drew so much pleasure from making dinner for his family every Sunday afternoon. Harold was a man who believed in values and honesty, but most of all, he always made the little things count.

He is preceded in death by his brother John Lloyd Jobe. His friends and family will continue to celebrate his life and cherish his memory for many years to come.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years Pauline Brown Jobe, his brother Lawrence Dalton Jobe and wife Dorothy, his daughter Elaine Yarbrough and husband Danny Yarbrough, son Harold Dean Jobe and wife Lois, grandsons Cody Jaster and wife Candace, Casey Yarbrough, Larry Jobe and wife Angie, and David Jobe and wife Lori, granddaughter Kelly Yarbrough Brunner and husband Jacob Brunner, seven great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
