Heather Ann Weaver went to be with her precious Savior on March 30th. After struggling six years with physical problems, she is now complete and rejoicing with the Lord. A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 6th at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque, with Pastor Jay Mathis, long-time family friend, officiating. The family will be welcoming and visiting friends and extended family from 10:00 a.m. until the start of the service.
Heather was born in Waco and lived in Waco in her early years. She and her family moved and spent 1989 - 1996 in Newnan, GA, where she gave her life to Jesus and was a shining light to her friends. Heather was everyone's "shoulder to cry on" and continued to be so, even on the night preceding her death; ministering to a friend she loved.
Upon her returning to Waco, Heather was married and had her first son. She then had another son and daughter later on with her second husband. Her children meant the world to her and were her "all in all." Even when Heather's health declined and she was unable to live on her own, she raised them with all she had to give with her family's help. She saw each one of them accept Jesus, which filled her heart with joy.
She was a devoted daughter and a rock of Jesus to her parents, whom she and the children mainly lived with. She was also a devoted sister and a friend to many.
Heather is survived by her precious children, Dakota Pitts, and Darren and Faith Gassaway; parents, Phil and Elli Weaver; sisters Stacy Mace and husband Brad; Vicki Fulton and husband Tommy; Christen Weaver; brother, Philip Weaver and wife Amy; ten special nieces and nephews whom she loved as her own and they returned that love always.
Our family's memory of her will always be of a giver, helper, and doer, never a taker. Our lives without her will never be the same. We give glory to Jesus for having her in our lives.
