Helen R. Campbell, 91, of Waco passed away Sunday, March 11, 2012. A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 14, at OakCrest Funeral Home with Kip Osborne officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Ft. Worth. Visitation will be 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 13 at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.
Helen was born November 20, 1920 to John and Inez (Roe) Kubik in Caldwell, KS. She married the love of her life, Sam Campbell in 1946. Helen loved to travel and spend time with her family. She moved several times before settling in Waco in 1998. Always active in her communities, Helen was a member of the Christian Woman's Club, Bible Study Club, Woman's Federated Club, member of the Woman's Club in numerous towns, President of Kiwanis Club, and taught Sunday School. Helen was a member of Western Heights Baptist Church and used to participate in the Choir.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Kenneth Edward Kubik.
Helen is survived by her husband of 66 years, Sam Campbell; son, Steven Campbell; daughter, Linda Canaday and husband, Wayne; grandson, Shawn Campbell; granddaughter, Ashley Margeson and husband, Kyle;great granddaughter, Kayleigh Campbell and numerous other family members and friends.
