Helen Sanchez Chavez, 75, of Waco,, passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2004, in a Waco hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the OakCrest Funeral Home chapel with Johnny Herrera and Alfred Martinez officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, with a Prayer Service at 7 p.m. at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque. A memorial video of her life will be shown.
Helen was born October 23, 1928 in Satin, Texas to Isidro and Galita (Cruz) Sanchez. She was baptized in 1986 in McGregor, Texas.
She is survived by her children, Richard Chavez, Ernestine Sifuentez, Betty Helen Chavez, Dolores Resendez, Thomas Chavez, Mary Chavez and Minnie Salinas; eighteen grandchildren, twenty four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
