Herb DeLucenay, 88, passed away October 18, 2014, in Plano, Texas. Herb was born in Kendaville, Indiana in 1926, the youngest of nine children, to George and Anna DeLucenay.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Evelyn, five of his six children, Linda Hale of San Diego, Gary and Ronald of Elkhart, IN, Debora Fox of The Woodlands, TX, and Rebecca Stone of Plano, TX. His youngest son, David, is deceased. He has 13 grandchildren and 10 great grand children.

Herb was a graduate of Elkhart High School. He served in the Army's 75th Infantry during WWII and
fought in France, Belgium, Holland, and Germany. He married Evelyn at St. Mary's Cathedral in Austin, TX in 1946 following his discharge from the Army. They moved to Indiana where he attended Tri State College and graduated in 1950. He started his own company, Hed-Way Incorporated, a mobile home manufacturer and later worked for Skyline Corporation. They resided in Bristol, IN until 1982 then moved to Waco, TX.

He was a member of St. Jerome's Catholic Church, The Knights of Columbus, the American Legion, and VFW. He was also an avid golfer and member and officer of Cottonwood Creek's senior golf league.

Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Friday, October 24, at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd. Waco, TX 76710 followed by visitation until 8 p.m. The Knights of Columbus will stand as a Honor Guard during the Rosary.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, at St. Jerome's Catholic Church, 9820 Chapel Rd. Internment with military honors will follow in Waco Memorial Park.
