Hoang Kim Diep, 73, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2009 in a McKinney, Texas hospital. Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at OakCrest Funeral Home, Waco, Texas. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Diep was born in Viet Nam May 14, 1936, she had lived in America for 29 years and was a citizen of the United States. Mrs. Diep was the widow of Tong Diep whom she married in Binh Dinh, Viet Nam. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Mrs. Diep was a very generous person and a hard working housewife who helped raise her grandchildren Teresa, John, Jonathan, Amanda, Taylor, Travis, Trina, Holly, Brandon, Andrew, and Elizabeth. She was very proud of her family.
Mrs. Diep is survived by daughters, Kim Cuc Diep and husband, Trung Phan of McKinney, Chi Kim Diep of Frisco, and husband, Hung Vo, Tho Kim Diep and Anh Kim Diep, and husband, Bobby Tee, all of McKinney; sons, Phuoc Tuan Diep, and wife, Phuong Diep, and Loc Tuan Diep, and wife, Linh Diep, all of Waco, and Vu Tuan Diep of McKinney; six grandsons; five granddaughters, and a brother, Em Van Tran of Viet Nam. The family would like to thank Mr. and Mrs. Sam Nay, they are our sponsors who brought our family to the United States and provided everything we needed.
