Hollis S. Robinson, 85, of Woodway, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 5, 2006 at 12:05 p.m. at a local hospital after a second struggle with pneumonia.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 9, at OakCrest Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Toby of First Baptist Church of Woodway officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park North.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, December 8, at OakCrest Funeral Home.
Hollis served in the U.S. Air Force from October 1942 to January 1946 in the South Pacific and Japan. He retired from Union Carbide Corporation in 1982 after 30 years of service. Hollis was a Master Mason for 60 years.
Hollis married Margie Louise Benson in 1944 in Hibbing, Wisconsin. They would have observed 62 years together on December 28, 2006.
He leaves behind his wife; three children and their spouses, James M. Robinson and Lawanna, Dr. Randy P. Robinson and Vickey, and Jean Ann Tubbs and Dallas. He also leaves behind ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Jack Cash's Sunday School Class members.
