Ileene Garrison of New Braunfels passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2004, at a New Braunfels hospital.
Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Monday, March 8, 2004, in the chapel of the Waco Memorial Park Mausoleum, 6623 South Interstate Highway 35.
Entombment will follow in the mausoleum under the direction of OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque, Waco.
Ileene was born in Hazard, Ky., to William Lincoln and Virginia Morgan, the 7th of 12 children. She came from a farm family and grew up in the hills of Kentucky. She has spent the last 40 years in Texas, splitting her time between Waco and New Braunfels. She raised two daughters. She was friendly and outgoing to people she met. She has been a business woman, horse woman, mother, sister, friends, and a person who loved nature and when she was able, spent her time enjoying the outdoors.
She is survived by her daughters, Rose Ella Buhrer of Shreveport, La, and Linda Shyrel Boyd of New Braunfels; three grandchildren, Stephen Lee Boyd of Arlington, Matthew Dean Buhrer and Jennifer Lynne Courtney, both of Shreveport; four great grandchildren, Zachary, Christian and Holly Buhrer, and Rainer Courtney, and three sisters.
