Ira Lee Robinson, 67, of Waco, passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2010 in the Temple VA Hospital. Visitation with the family will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 14, followed by services at 11:30 a.m. at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd., with Minister Mitchell Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Elm Mott Cemetery with military honors.
Mr. Robinson was born September 15, 1942 in Hillsboro to Ira Lee Robinson, Sr. and Ganell Williams Robinson. He attended West High School and then served his country in the US Army. He later was employed at the Waco VA Regional office.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Robinson leaves to cherish his memory and celebrate his Home-going his loving wife, Elizabeth Robinson; daughter, Sherryl Chinnery; brothers, Donald Ray, Ronald Earl and Curtis Robinson all of Dallas and Eric and Bobby Williams both of Austin; sister, Shirley Robinson Cashaw; first cousins, Jimmie "Lester" Grandberry of Harker Heights, Gladys Smith of Lake Wales, Florida and a host of other relatives and friends.
The family expresses sincere appreciation for your prayers, concerns, thoughtfulness, and other acts of kindness during our loved one's illness.
