The Rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Monday, January 12, 2009 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with visitation with the family from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
A traditional Latin Requiem Mass will be offered 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at St. Louis Catholic Church. A private burial will be held later.
He was a member of the Third and Fourth Degrees of the Knights of Columbus which will provide an Honor Guard for the Rosary and Service.
James J. Foley, Jr., was born in Loma Linda, California, on November 15, 1930. He served as a staff sergeant in the Air Force during the Korean War and was stationed in Japan.
Upon his honorable discharge he worked for 36 years for the Automobile Club of Southern California (AAA), eventually as the manager of all out-of-state claims.
After his retirement in 1991, Jim and his wife moved to Lake Havasu City, Arizona. In 2004, they moved to China Spring to be closer to their son and his family.
Jim was an active parishioner of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, an usher for the traditional Latin Mass at St. Louis Catholic Church, and a fourth-degree Knight of Columbus.
On the morning of January 8 he was involved in a head-on collision and died later that evening.
Jim is survived by his wife Lucille, his son Mike, his daughter-in-law Alexandra, and his grandchildren Catherine, Mary, James, Peter, and Monica.
