James Hancock

James Albert (Jim) Hancock, 70, of Waco passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2015 after a short bout with cancer. Funeral services, conducted by J.R. Yates, will be held on Saturday, August 29 at 2:00 pm at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd., Waco. Burial will follow at Crawford Cemetery.
Jim was born September 12, 1944 in Mulberry, AR to Albert J. and Mildred Ruth (Shumate) Hancock. He was a member of the Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Levi Joseph Baur; sister, Norma Jean Warren; and nephew, Jerry Mac Warren.

Jim is survived by his wife, Josephine (Franklin) Hancock of the home; daughters, Sandra Baur and husband, Matt of Crawford, TX and Tracy Moore and husband, Randy of Ft. Worth, TX; granddaughter, Katy Baur of Jackson, TN; grandson, Skyy Moore of Dallas, TX; brother, Carroll Hancock and wife, Kay of Fayetteville, AR; brother-in-law, Larry Franklin of Newnan, GA; nephews, Mark Hancock and wife Cathy of Bella Vista, AR, Ben Hancock and wife, Lisa of Fayetteville, AR; and Jon Warren and wife, Charletta of Huntsville, AR.

Pallbearers will be Matt Baur, Randy Moore, Todd Templeton, Morgan Miller, Jeff Slaughter and Lewis Snow.
