James Hodges

James Edwin Hodges, 85, of Waco, passed away Saturday, June 27, 2009.

Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd. with the Rev. Sam Callaway officiating. Burial will follow at McGregor Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home.

Mr. Hodges was born in McGregor to Ernest R. Hodges and Ethel Ann (Johnson) Hodges. He was an Army veteran of WW II. He was the owner of Hodges Masonry. James was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit; George Denton Lodge and Karem Shrine

James was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Doris Faye.

He is survived by his son, Don Hodges and wife, Beverly of Troy; grandchildren ,Eren Price and husband, Waren, Casan Bowers and husband, David, Hillary and Matthew Hodges; great grandchildren,Taylor Pursley, Jackson Price and Wyatt Price.
