James Jones

James Jones, 61, of Waco, passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2006. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque.

James was born December 13, 1944 to Harry Judson Jones and Nealie Bond Jones in Gatesville. He attended Waco public schools, graduating from Waco High. He had a master's degree from North Texas State University and also a degree in Fine Arts.

He was a talented floral designer until his death and was noted for his awesome designs. He lived in Dallas for many years. He was a Baptist. James will be greatly missed by all who knew him

He was preceded in death by his father in 1951; his step-father, and his oldest brother, Charles, in 2000. .

He is survived by his mother, Nealie Thornton, and a brother, Jerry Jones and wife, Kay; nephews, Troy and wife, Lori; Clay; Anson and wife, Kathleen, and other nephews and nieces from around the country.

Memorials may be made to Odyssey Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
