James Montgomery

James A. (Monty) Montgomery, 92, died Friday, March 26, 2004, at 1:50 a.m. at his Waco home.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Oakwood Cemetery with Pastor Juneroy Neugent officiating. Entombment will follow in the family mausoleum.

Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque.

Monty was born November 20, 1911 in Aquilla to Ran and Minnie Terry Montgomery. He married Adaline Hart in 1942. He was in the used car business most of his life, and was later in real estate.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Adaline Montgomery; sister, Ann Witt of Waco; four sisters-in-law and five brothers-in-law, several nieces and nephews, and many friends.

The family especially thanks Jacke Brisby and also the staff of Providence Hospice for their care during Monty's illness.
