Marvin Nixon
James Marvin Nixon, 73, of Woodway passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2005 at a local hospital. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 31, 2005 at Waco Memorial Park with Nolan Boyd officiating. Musical selections will be performed by Millie Deaton.
Marvin was born on February 16, 1932 in Brownfield to Floyd and Josie (Williams) Nixon. He married the love of his life, Flora (Flo) Toliver on July 4, 1963.
He was a Deputy Constable for McLennan County and was a Marine.
Marvin is survived by his wife, Flo of Woodway; daughters, Sue Johnson and husband, Robert of Waco, Carol Billingsley and husband, Teddy of Mesquite and Connie Johnson and husband, Jim of Woodway; grandchildren, Bo Johnson, Julie Everett and husband, David and Melanie Hill and husband, Coy; great-grandchildren, Colby and Ryan Richards, Alexis and Caitlynn Everett; sisters, Hester Evans and Dorothy Patrick both of Bellmead; brother, Robert Nixon and wife Juanita of Waco; brother-in-law, Ernest Dalrymple of Woodway; sister-in-law, Nettie Wheat and husband Marvin of Waco; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Edna Dalryple and Ruth Sauls.
Marvin was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend.
