James Sutton
James Allen Sutton, 63, of Lorena, passed away Monday, September 21, 2009.
Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 25 at Lorena United Methodist Church with the Rev. Christie Robbins officiating.
James was born December 13, 1945 in Longworth, Texas to Grady Matthew Sutton and Mary Viola Martin Sutton. He lived his entire life in Lorena and graduated from Lorena High School. James served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. He worked in construction with his father and brothers before he began teaching construction at TSTC. Later in life, he earned his Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy at MCC and began work at Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center.
He married Cheryle Smith on August 9, 1966.
James was preceded in death by his wife on September 12, 2004; his father, Grady Sutton; and his oldest brother, Eston Sutton.
He is survived by sons, Daniel Sutton and wife, Maria, Jeffery Sutton and wife, Andrea and James Sutton and wife, Brandy; his mother, Mary Sutton; brothers, Bobby Sutton, Clinton Sutton and M.C. Sutton; and 7 grandchildren.
Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
