Janice Cameron

Janice Cameron, 75, of Waco, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2024 at Providence Hospice Place surrounded by loved ones. Visitation/viewing with family will be Thursday, Jan. 25, from 5:00-7:00pm at OakCrest Funeral Home in Waco.

Janice was born May 17,1948 in Denton, TX to Herschel and Willie Gregory. She was the youngest of 15 kids. Janice graduated from Denton High School. In July of 1966, she married the love of her life, Ray Cameron. They were married for 57 years. Together they welcomed their daughter, Sharon, in 1970. Janice worked as a branch manager at Guaranty Bank for over 30 years, until she retired to be a full time Nana.

Janice loved baking, golfing, shopping, & spending time with family. She enjoyed going on trips, visiting with family at Baris restaurant, and spending Christmas in Maryland with her grandkids & great grandkids.

She was survived by her husband, Ray Cameron; daughter, Sharon, and her husband, Scott Hilliard; granddaughter, Chelsea, and her husband, David Oliva; grandson, Justin Hilliard, & his fiancé, Samantha Walton; great grandkids, Ava & Gabriel Oliva; brother, James Gregory; and many cousins, nieces, & nephews.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
