Jeanette L. Folsom
June 29, 1940 – March 22, 2007
Jeanette Lee "Flossie" Folsom, 66, went to be with her Savior on Thursday, March 22, 2007, after a long and courageous battle with metastatic breast cancer.
Jean was born to Ward Leland Ginn Sr. and Gladys Lorene Ginn in Beloit, Kansas. Jean later moved with her family to Concordia, Kansas, where she graduated from Concordia High. Jean then continued her education at Kansas State University.
Jean met and married her "best friend", Loris Dean "Bud" Folsom in Concordia, Kansas. Jean and Bud spent many happy years together residing in places throughout Kansas, Nebraska and Oklahoma, eventually settling in Lawton, Oklahoma.
Jean retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone after nearly 32 years of dedicated service and then went on to work for the City of Lawton as a 911 dispatcher for nearly 10 years. After leaving the City of Lawton, Jean decided to begin her "full retirement" in Waco, Texas.
Jean is survived by her 3 loving daughters who fought her illness right beside her: Rebecca L. Tannery and husband Russell L. Nauman, Lawton, Oklahoma, Melodie L. Folsom and husband Fredrick Evans Jr. and Deborah J. Folsom and husband Damon Jackson, all of Waco, Texas, her 4 beautiful grandchildren: Christian D. Tannery and Kylie Tannery, Lawton, Oklahoma, and Tristan Guevara and Angelee Folsom, Waco, Texas, a brother Ward Leland Ginn Jr. and wife Alta Jean, a sister Patricia Gregston and husband Dale, a sister-in-law Vera Lundquist, a brother-in-law Albert Conlon, special friends Dick and Pauline Tannery and numerous other friends and family.
Jean is preceded in death by her loving husband, Loris Dean "Bud" Folsom, a granddaughter Mercedes Barclay, her parents and 1 sister.
