Jennie Vee Tadlock
June 8, 1920 – January 27, 2014
Jennie Vee Tadlock, 93, formerly of Waco, went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31 at OakCrest Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday between at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Boulevard.
She was born along with her twin brother to the late James and Clara Lockett on June 8, 1920 in Frankston. Jennie Vee graduated from Sulphur Bluff High School in 1938. She married the late John W. Tadlock, Sr. in 1953.
Jennie Vee was always active in church, including teaching Sunday School from preschool through senior adult classes throughout the years. Jennie Vee did her part during WWII by building bombs at the Blue Bonnet Ordinance Plant in McGregor. She also spent a number of years working at Owens Illinois Glass Plant. She also worked for 20 years at J.C. Penney.
Jennie Vee is survived by two children: Cynthia Watkins and husband Kenneth of Denton; John W. Tadlock, Jr., and wife Sue of Cypress; 4 grandchildren: Tad Robnett, and wife Caryn Ginsburg of Denver, CO; Allison Dellinger, and husband George of Denton; Daniel Tadlock, and fiancé Erika Moyer of Cypress; and Kevin Tadlock, and wife Nicole of Denver, CO; and 4 great-grandchildren: Jacob, Liam, Nathan, and Vivie Dellinger; and 2 step-great grandchildren Joe and Ali Ginsburg; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; 3 brothers, James Lockett, Bill Lockett, and John Robert Lockett; and a sister, Juanita Crump.
