Jerry Warnell, 77, passed away at his home, November 14th, 2021, after a lengthy illness. Graveside services will be Wednesday, November 17th 2:00 P.M. at the Rosemound Cemetery 3201 S. 12th St. Waco, Texas.
He was born in Rotan, TX on December 19th, 1943. Jerry’s family later moved to Hamlin, TX where he and his sister, Mary Sue, spent their early childhood and school years. After graduation from Hamlin High School, moved to Fort Worth, Texas and worked at different jobs, until he gained employment at Tom Mahan shoe stores. Jerry managed several shoe stores at various locations. Later he started a career at Pitney Bowes as a mailing sales representative with the company for 28 years and remained until his retirement.
Jerry loved being with his family and grandchildren, visiting, family gatherings and vacations. Jerry enjoyed fishing, reading, and most sports on TV, especially Baylor sports and Dallas Cowboys.
He is survived by his wife Mickie Warnell, son Mithcell Warnell and wife Tiffney, son Michael Warnell and wife Jacqueline, step-daughter Michelle McKee and husband Daniel, step-son Brandon Biggs and wife Brenda. In all Jerry and Mickie shared 12 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Jerry is also survived by one loving sister, Mary Burkett and husband Phil Burkett of Abilene Texas.
