Jessa Dudley, Jr., 78, of Waco passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2006 at a local hospital.
Memorial services will be 11 am Saturday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd. with Chaplain Ann Pennington officiating. There will be a gathering at the Dudley's residence following the service at 1506 Crockett St., Bellmead.
Jess was born August 21, 1928 in Ross to Jessa William and Goldie Dudley, Sr. He married the love of his life, Shirley Jean Shotwell.
He had served in the U.S. Army for three years and also in the U.S. Navy for three years. Jess had worked in the bomb plant for many years and was a retired teacher in welding and underwater welding for 28 years.
Jess is survived by his wife, Shirley of 32 years; daughter, Alisa Gayle and husband, Leonard of Clifton; son, Bill Isham and wife, Melissa of Robinson; Jacky Brussard of Waco, Sharon Thompson and husband, Nick of Valley Mills; and Debra Ledbetter and husband, Trace of Arlington; brother, Finis Dudley; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; many beloved nieces and nephews; and long time companion, his special rat terrier, Radar Dudley of 9 years.
The family requests no flowers and welcomes donations to Fuzzy Friends in Memory of Jess Dudley.
