OBITUARY

Jesse Salazar, Sr., 58 of Waco, passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2005 at a local hospital.
Services will be at 11 am Monday at OakCrest Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
Viewing will start at noon on Saturday until 8 p.m. Visitation with his family will be Sunday from 4 to 7 pm at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd. A memorial DVD of his life will be shown during the visitation.
Jesse was born October 5, 1946 in Waco to Felix and Amalia (Morales) Salazar. He attended schools in Brownwood and then moved back to Waco in his teens. He married the love of his life on December 31, 1971. He was a memebr of the Jehovah Witness Congregation.
He worked in construction until becoming ill at age 35. He has since spent his life with their children and grand-children whom he adored.
A great joy in his life was singing and enjoying karaoke with his friends. At one time he was a talented guitar and accordion player until rheumatoid arthritis robbed him of that gift.
He still maintained a beautiful singing voice until his death.
Leaving to cherish his memory are his wife, Ann of Waco; sons, Jesse Salazar, Jr. and wife, Evette, and Placido Salazar and wife, Amy of Waco; daughters, Ana Tran and husband, Nghia of Dallas, and Marlisa Salazar of Waco; mother, Amalia Salazar of Waco; grandchildren, Nathaniel, Nyana, Naviana, Nathen, Savana, Tyven, Justin, Taylor, Courtney and Mikayla; brothers, Felix, Pete, Gavino, Johnny and Sam Salazar; sister, Cynthia Fuller all of Waco.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
