Jessie Lee Dalrymple Leonard, 89, passed away Monday, November 21, 2011. Graveside services will be 12:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 28, at Oakwood Cemetery with Father Steve Whitfield officiating. Visitation will be 11 a.m. - 12 noon Monday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Boulevard.

Jessie was born March 4, 1922 in Waco to L.G. and Nannie (Moseley) Dalrymple, the youngest of five children. Jessie had to quit school after her father died to begin working. She became a saleswoman at Grayson Dress Store, eventually becoming manager of the two locations. She married the love of her life, Albert (Rube) Leonard on June 1, 1936, and they shared 71 wonderful years together. They both enjoyed traveling to almost every state in the United States.

She was preceded in death by her parents her, husband Albert, and her four siblings, Maude Wetsel, May McCoy, Juanita McCoy, and Elgin Dalrymple.

She is survived by her sister-in-law Margaret Dickenson and husband Homer; son, Judge Don Leonard and wife Judy of Lake LBJ; grandchildren, Debbie Walker and husband Phil, and Cindy Encina, and husband Henry; great grandchildren, Donny Leonard, Megan Walker, Shelby Walker, Saralyn Walker, and Samuel Encina; and great-great-children, Austin Leonard, Donny Leonard, Jr., and Lillian Leonard.
