Jessie Rae Swift, 76, of Waco, died Monday in a Waco hospital. Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Higginbotham Funeral Home in Rising Star with burial in Rising Star Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 - 8 p.m. Wednesday at Higginbotham Funeral Home in Rising Star. OakCrest Funeral Home handled local arrangements.
She was born Sept. 8, 1927 in Sipe Springs to John and Tennie (Pierce) Clark. She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Swift, parents, and brothers, Skeet and Alton Clark.
She is survived by two daughters, Gayla Sue Roberson and husband Jim of Andrews, and Nancy Weissman and husband Joel of Waco; two sisters, Ellie Elliott and Ollie Burns of Rising Star; three grandchildren, John Randall Roberson of Andrews, and Lindsay and Ryan Weissman of Waco, and many nieces and nephews.
