Jesus E. Tamez, 73, passed away Saturday, September 22, 2012. Graveside services
will be 10 am Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012 at Oakwood Cemetery with Ivan Meza
officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 7 pm Tuesday at OakCrest Funeral Home followed
by a prayer services at 7 pm.

Mr. Tamez was born in Elsa, TX to Alfredo and Paula (Escamilla) Tamez. He was an
Army Veteran and a member of St. Francis Catholic Church. He married Adelina
Hernandez, July 10, 1985. Mr. Tamez retired from Vestal Body Shop after 30 years.
He then bought an ice cream truck and gave away most of his ice cream.

He was preceded in death by his brothers and sister, Cenvino, Simon, Souctosaso,
and Fermina Posada.

Jesus is survived by his wife, Adelina; daughters, Jesusita Tamez Perez, Tina Tamez
Guerra and Twanda Gonzalez; brother, Francisco Posada; stepdaughters, Geneva
Collazo, Grace Ortiz-Martinez and Thelma Ortiz Hanks; stepsons, John Ortiz and Gene Ortiz;
grandchildren, Rebecca P., Jesus M., Halley G., Sky G., Mercedez G., Luz G., Aaliayh G.,
Ava G., Veronica C., Michelle C., Rachal C., Sabrina S., Daniel C., Gene Ortiz Jr., Sonia
0., Victor A., Lupe A., Juan G., Michaele C., Eric C. and Brian H.; great grandchildren,
Devin J., Leah M., Cerenity S., Alexis B., Alyssa, Fernando, Nadia, Alex, Aaliyah,
Thelma Rose, Mariana, Elizabeth, Adan, Victoria, Victor, Leah, Elisa and Rebecca Posada.
