Jewel Faye Rabo, 100, passed away Saturday February 18, 2006.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd. with Rev Jack Mullin officiating. Burial will be in Shamrock Texas.
Mrs. Rabo was born in Jacksboro Texas on Nov 25, 1905. The family moved to Shamrock , Texas. She met and married her husband, J.C. Rabo there and they were residents of Shamrock until his death in 1980. She moved to Waco, Texas in 1987.
She was a buyer of women's apparel in the retail business for 30 years, then in the florist business and finally in ceramics.
She was active in the First Christian Church in Shamrock and upon moving to Waco, joined the Lakewood Christian Church, and has been active in the Women's Work, especially the quilting for the Fall Festival.
She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge for 60 years, holding every office available, and spent one year as District Deputy.
She is survived by her daughter, Irma Lee Edmundson, granddaughter Terri Miller and husband Jim of Livingston Tx, two grandsons Brant, and wife Jill, Todd and wife Stephanie, six great grandchildren Josh, Cameron, Cody, Kylie, Brannon, and Kylan and several nieces and nephews and many friends.
Memorials may be made to Lakewood Christian Church or favorite charity.
