Jo Ellis Vaughan Anderson, 91, of Waco passed away on Tuesday, February 12th at a local hospital.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at OakCrest Funeral Home with Ernie Christie officiating. Burial will follow at the Thornton City Cemetery in Thornton, Texas. Visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd., Waco.
Jo was born on December 9, 1916, in Thornton to Pink E. and Irene (Baker) Ellis. She was united in marriage to Woodrow (Woody) Vaughan in May 1938. He preceded her in death in August 1989. She then married W.L. (Andy) Anderson in September 1992. They were members of Lake Shore Church of Christ.
Jo is survived by her husband, Andy Anderson of Waco; daughter, Betty Willis and husband Ken of Waco; sons, Val Vaughan and wife Janet of Waco; and Ray Vaughan of Austin; grandchildren, Staci Willis, Julie Hill and husband Steve, Vance Vaughan and wife Cathie, Jennifer Vaughan, and Victoria and Alexis Vaughan; seven great-grandchildren; step-daughters, Annette Brown and Darlene Logan; step-son Joe Anderson, numerous step-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
