Joe Lawrence Nolan, 83, of Waco passed away September 15, 2010. Graveside services with military honors will be 10 am, Monday, September 20, 2010 at Rosemound Cemetery with Major Harvey Harwell officiating. Visitation will be 3 -5 pm, Sunday, September 19, at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.

Joe loved going to Sul Ross Senior Citizen activities where he made many friends and played dominos. He volunteered for the Salvation Army as a bell ringer and a disaster relief worker and always attended the men's Wednesday night service playing dominos afterwards.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, William Nolan and Agnes Hilbig Smith; and daughters, Charlene Nolan and Darlene Nolan.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Olson Nolan; his step-children, Bruce Olson and Geva Joseph; his sister, Margaret Davis; children; Carol Harper and husband, Tommy, Janice Nolan, James Nolan and wife, Shirley, Peggy Horn and husband, Ricky, Nancy Miller and husband, Frank, Cathy Nard and husband, Johnnie; grandchildren, Ronnie Bell Jr. and wife, Nichol, Rachael Nolan, Katie Johnson and husband, Brett, Jennifer Bell, Brittany Nolan, Keneisha Robinson, Maggie Gray; 6 great-grandchildren; and his best friend (dog), Mr. Magoo.
