If you have tried to contact Trey, he left his home in Waco Thursday evening to go watch the Mavericks' games forever. Trey was 30 years of age. His visitation will be at Oakcrest Funeral Home from 6pm - 8pm on Monday, April 2. His funeral service will be Tuesday, April 3, at 11 am at Cogdell Memorial United Methodist Church, with burial following at China Spring Cemetery.

Trey was born in Waco, Texas. He was the son of Marytom Milam of Waco, TX, and John E. Echterhoff, Jr., of Amarillo, TX. He graduated from China Spring High School in 2000 and later obtained an Associate's Degree from Texas State Technical College in Biomedical Engineering Technology in 2010. He was employed by Associated Hygenic Products in Waco, Texas.

Trey was a true, fiercely loyal friend to many cherished China Spring "buddies" and post-high school "comrads" and a devoted and loving husband to Linda, the love of his life. The pride and joy of his life were his sons, Daniel Hayes and Elijah James Echterhoff.

Trey is survived by his wife, Linda and two sons, Daniel Hayes, and Elijah James Echterhoff; his father, John E. Echterhoff, Jr. and wife, Sandra, of Amarillo; his mother, Marytom Milam and husband, C.A., of Waco; sister, Summer Evans and husband, Jeff, of Frisco; brothers, Jarred R. Milam and wife, Shelby, of Waco, and Justin Milam and wife, Alysia, of McKinney; also, father-in-law, Charles (Rick) Baker, of Waco; sisters-in-law, Jennifer Crow and husband, Casey, of Waco, Ashley Illing and husband, Stuart, of Waco, and Jessica Smith and husband, Christopher, of Chula Vista, California.

Pallbearers will be Joe Timmons, John Honeycutt, Patrick Collier, Nick Lamb, John Hanna, Bryan Shehorn, and Casey Crow.


In lieu of flowers, you may donate to an account set up for the benefit of his sons, Daniel and Eli, at Chase Bank, 800 Hewitt Drive, Woodway, Texas 76712.
