John Nemmer

Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Brother, John Michael Nemmer passed away in his hometown of Waco, Texas on June 2nd of 2023.

John will forever be remembered in the hearts of his wife Christy; daughter Jennifer and husband Michael; grandkids Allison, and Logan; son Clinton and fiancé Rachael; and his brother Joseph and wife Janice; as well as his many friends for living his life to the fullest and always having a story to tell.

John was a proud native Wacoan and Texan, born April 12th, 1953. He was a member of the Northern Little League team in 1965 that placed 3rd in the Little League World Series. Such an experience pushed John to become a coach who helped inspire countless young men and women.

John, known to many as “Slick”, had a passion for the outdoors and sports. John was always happiest when he had a line in the water and the ear of someone with whom to tell stories. He loved the history of sports, especially baseball, and would be quick to remind people how sports and life lessons are often intertwined. John had his own way of doing things and loved to express his unique words of wisdom to those whom he thought needed it.
