JOHN WILLIAM TADLOCK, SR.
John William Tadlock, Sr., 74, passed away Sunday afternoon, June 22, 2003 at his Waco home surrounded by his loving family.
SERVICES
Services will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, at the OakCrest Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Paul Smith and Rev. David Ritsema officiating.
Military graveside services will follow in Waco Memorial Park North.
VISITATION
Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque.
A memorial videotape prepared of John's life will be shown during the visitation.
PERSONAL HISTORY
John was born December 19, 1928, in Marlin to Joseph and Sarah Martha (Lemma) Tadlock. John moved to Waco in 1944, and during the Korean War, he served in the Navy for five years.
On May 29, 1953, he married his wife, Jennie Vee, and they just recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
He retired from Owens-Illinois in 1983 after 33 years of service. He was a member of North Waco Baptist Church.
John was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Derwood and Joseph.
SURVIVORS
Survivors include his wife, Jennie Vee Tadlock; son, John W. Tadlock Jr. of Lubbock and his wife Sue; daughter, Cynthia Lynn Watkins of Austin and her husband Kenneth; brother, H.C. Tadlock of Waco and wife Louise; adopted brother, Rowan Wood of Marlin, adopted sister, Bonnie Moore of Houston; grandsons, Tad Robnett of Denver and wife Shannan, and Daniel and Kevin Tadlock, both of Lubbock; granddaughter, Allison Dellinger of Denton and husband George; two great grandsons; three step grandsons; and four step great-grandchildren.
