John LaMarr Wilson, 83, passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2014. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Florida.

John LaMarr Wilson was born June 22, 1931 to John Woodrow and Mary Brown Wilson in Scottsville, KY.

John retired from the Air Force with rank of Major and subsequently taught ROTC and science within the WISD. He retired from WISD in 1996.

John enjoyed fishing, archery, target shooting, golf, and travel all of which he enjoyed extensively during his retirement.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Woodrow and Mary Brown Wilson.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara A. Wilson; son, John T. Wilson; daughter, Laura A. Lupfer and husband Thomas, Jr.; brother Tommy Wilson and wife, Patty; nephew, Steve Wilson and wife, Ann; niece, Susie Wilson.

John lived life on his own terms; he touched many lives, and will be greatly missed.
