Johnny Matta
Johnny A. Mata, 64, of Waco passed away at a local hospital on Sunday, October 3, 2004.
Services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday at OakCrest Funeral Home Chapel with Darrell Price officiating.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 to 7pm at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd. A memorial video of his life will be shown.
He was born on September 23, 1940 in Otto, Texas to Manuel and Apolinar (Barrera) Mata.
Johnny leaves behind his beloved wife of 30 years, Maria E. Mata; daughters, Maria Mata-Aguilar and husband Gabriel, Misty Lewellen and husband Robert, Delfina Sandoval and husband Joe and Maryann Keller all of Waco; step-son, Jesse Contreras of New Mexico; twelve grandchildren and one great-grandchild; four brothers and three sisters.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Gabriel Aguilar, Jr.
