Jose Fraga Cuevas falleció el 8 de Marzo de 2025 a la edad de 74 años. La visitación será el 13 de Marzo de 6-8pm en la funeraria Oakcrest. El rosario será a las 7pm. La misa de cuerpo presente sera el 14 de Marzo en la Iglesia Católica San Francisco. Se seguirá el entierro en el cementerio de Oakwood.
Jose nacio el 7 de Mayo de 1950, hijo de Benigno Fraga y Ma. Rita Cuevas, en Pinos, Zacatecas. Llego a los Estados Unidos en busca del Sueno Americano en 1972. Trabajo incansablemente para proveer para su familia sobre una carrera de mas de 40 anos en Cargill. La pasion de Jose era el beisbol, en particular por su equipo favorito, los Astros de Houston. El disfrutaba pasar sus dias con su nieta, Eliana, quien era la luz de sus ojos.
Fue precedido en la muerte por sus padres y hermana, Josefina Araujo.
Le sobreviven su esposa de 34 anos, Paulina; su hija, Crystal y esposo Eduardo Olguin; nieta, Eliana Sarahi Olguin; hijo, Benjamin y esposa Alma Fraga; nietos Stefanie Marie, Benjamin Kaleb, y Juliana; hermanos, Herlinda Fraga; Luis y esposa Antonia Fraga; Ma. Concepcion Fraga; Benita y esposo Jesus Castellanos; J. Guadalupe Fraga; y Ma. Teresa y esposo Jose Sosa; y numerosos sobrinos, sobrinas, primos, y amigos cercanos.

Jose Fraga Cuevas, 74, passed away on March 8, 2025. Visitation will be on March 13th from 6-8pm at Oakcrest Funeral Home. Rosary will be at 7pm. Mass of Christian burial will be on March 14th at 10am at St. Francis Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
Jose was born on May 7, 1950 to Benigno Fraga and Ma. Rita Cuevas in Pinos, Zacatecas. He came to the U.S. in 1972 in search of the American Dream. He worked tirelessly to provide for his family over a 40+ year career at Cargill. Jose had a passion for baseball, in particular for his favorite team, the Houston Astros. He enjoyed spending his days with his granddaughter, Eliana, who was the light of his eyes.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Josefina Araujo.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Paulina; his daughter, Crystal and husband Eduardo Olguin; granddaughter, Eliana Olguin; son, Benjamin and wife Alma Fraga; grandchildren, Stefanie Marie, Benjamin Kaleb, and Juliana; siblings, Herlinda Fraga; Luis and wife Antonia Fraga; Ma. Concepcion Fraga; Benita and husband Jesus Castellanos; J. Guadalupe Fraga; and Ma. Teresa and husband Jose Sosa; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
