Jose Rios Rodriguez

Jose Antonio Rios Rodriguez, age 71 of Waco, Texas passed away on August 3, 2024 in his home surrounded by loved ones. He was born on June 18, 1953, in Nueva Rosita, Coahuila, Mexico to Cruz Rios Lopez and Benita Rodriguez Vasquez.

Jose Antonio is survived by his loving wife, Esperanza Rios. They were married 44 years and raised five children: Maida Chavez (spouse Melvin Chavez), Jose Rios, Jr. (spouse Patricia Rios), Efrain Rios (spouse Cindy Rios), Alonso Rios (spouse Maria Rios), and Charlie Rios (spouse Beatrice Rios). He also leaves behind fourteen cherished grandchildren: Efrain Jr., Esperanza, Jaquelin, Melvin Jr, Gabbanelli, Avel, Annalia, Charlie Jr., Cain, Celeste, Camila, Sadie, Romeo, and Gracie.

Jose Antonio worked at Caritas and retired in 2009. In his free time, he enjoyed hobbies such as fishing, singing, playing guitar, spending time with his family, being a jokester, taking walks with his beloved wife (always holding hands), and making new friends.

Jose Antonio after many years of being a resident, he went on to become a Naturalized American Citizen which was a proud moment for his family. He was able to vote for the 1st time in 2023.

Jose Antonio will be remembered for his kind and generous spirit, his love for his family, and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
