Joseph Patrick Ginnane

Joseph Patrick Ginnane, 43, of Waco, passed away unexpectantly Friday, March 30, 2012, at Providence Hospital due to complications from a short illness.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, April 2, at St. Louis Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
The Rosary Service will be at 6 p.m. Sunday, April 1, at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Boulevard, followed by a visitation from 6:30 p.m. - 8 p.m.
Joe was born March 18, 1969 in Berwyn, Ill., to Marty and Marilyn (Moroney) Ginnane. He moved to Waco with his family at the age of 5 from North Riverside, Ill. He attended St. Louis Elementary School, Reicher Catholic High School, received a Bachelor's Degree from Texas Christian University, and graduated from Texas Tech University with a master's degree in drama and directing. Joe was an actor with the Repertoire Theater of America for three years. For 13 years, he has performed and directed at the Canterbury Summer Theater in Michigan City, Ind. He served as the artistic director of the Macon Community Theater in Macon, Ga.
Joe was involved with numerous theatre venues as either actor or director. Neil Simon was his favorite playwright. Some of his memorable performances were "Barefoot in the Park", "Odd Couple", "Laughter on the 23rd Floor," "Groucho", "Prisoner on Second Avenue," "Wrong Turn at Lungfish", "Anything Goes," and "Talley's Follies." Since 2008, he has been on the faculty of McLennan Community College teaching in the Drama Department.
Joe was blessed with a kind heart and a sense of humor and wit that brought laughter, joy, and fun into the lives of his family and his many friends. He was loved by all who knew him. Thanks for sharing your talent with us. The stage will never be the same without you!
Joe is survived by his parents, Marty and Marilyn Ginnane of Waco; brother, Jim Ginnane of Waco; sisters, Mary Dvorsky and husband, Joe, of Waco, Kathy Rimlinger and husband, Scott, of Waco, Peggy Dvorsky and husband, Robert, of Kingwood, and Jean Fallas and husband, Richard, of Waco; and uncle, Rev. William Moroney, Missionary of Africa. Joe was also a beloved uncle to Megan, Adam, Mike, Joseph, Zachary, Katelyn, Shelby, Justin, Mary Katherine, Kristen, Sarah, Matthew, Jacob, and Jeremy.
Pallbearers will be Joe Dvorsky, Scott Rimlinger, Robert Dvorsky, Richard Fallas, Kelly Parker, and Scott Maggard.
