Joyce Laverne Cole, 87, of Waco, went to be with her Savior Wednesday, February 19, 2014. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday, February 21, 2014 at Waco Memorial Park with Rev. Duane Hoxworth officiating. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Thursday, February 20, 2014 at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Bld.

Joyce Laverne Cole was born February 4, 1927 in Crawford, TX to Rev. Earl and Bessie (Holt) Clendennen. She attended Waco schools. Joyce married Robert Richard Davis, July 12, 1943. He preceded her in death, March 2, 1982. She married Henry Cole, Jan 1, 1986. Joyce worked as a medication nurse at Hillcrest Hospital, Quality Care Nursing Home and as a private nurse. Joyce and her husband enjoyed camping and were gatekeepers at Lake Whitney and Navara Mills camp grounds.

She was preceded in death by her parents, second husband, Henry Cole, and her first husband, Robert R. Davis

She is survived by her son, Richard Davis and wife Diane of Waco; grandson Mark Davis and wife Stephanie; great-grandchildren, Brittney, Aaron and Jacob Davis; brothers, Robert Clendennen and wife Betty, Jerry Clendennen and wife Dorothy; sisters, Margie Duncan and husband Bill of Irving, TX, Wanda and husband Dr. Stafford Martin of Grandbury, TX and many nieces and nephews.
