Juan Gutierrez Zuniga

Mr. Juan Gutierrez Zuniga, 90, of Waco, passed away on January 22, 2024, at home surrounded by his children.

Juan Gutierrez Zuniga was born in Rio Grande, Zacatecas MX to Tomas Gutierrez Galan and Lucia Zuniga Jimenez. He married the love of his life Carmelina Jimenez Varela and was raised in Las Esperanza's, Rio Grande Zacatecas. He was a hardworking man who started working in the fields with his father from a young age.

He loved raising farm animals and teaching his children and grandchildren everything he knew.

He was a kind, respectful, and caring person, a great role model to all his children and grandchildren and spread the word of God often. He loved to read, talk about the bible, and sing his favorite Cristian songs. Mr. Juan also enjoyed spending time with his family, being outdoors, making people laugh, and telling his stories. Despite all the obstacles he had to face he was a strong and positive man; he was someone you could count on when you needed anything, and he was loved amongst all.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of many years, Carmelina Jimenez Varela; daughter, Maria Asalia Gutierrez; daughter, Maria Melisanda Gutierrez, and grandson, Abelardo Gutierrez.

He is survived by his children, Juan and wife, Santiaga, and Rodolfo and wife, Juana; daughters, Lucia and family and Sonia and husband, Luis; and grandchildren who he raised like his own, Adriana Adame and husband, Tomas, and Armando Adame and wife, Maria.

Rest in peace dear father.

El Sr. Juan Gutiérrez Zúñiga, de 90 años, de Waco, falleció el 22 de enero de 2024 en su casa rodeado de sus hijos.

Juan Gutiérrez Zúñiga nació en Rio Grande, Zacatecas Mexico, hijo de Tomás Gutiérrez Galán y Lucía Zúñiga Jiménez. Se casó con el amor de su vida Carmelina Jiménez Varela y se crió en Las Esperanza, Río Grande Zacatecas. Era un hombre trabajador que comenzó a trabajar en el campo con su padre desde muy joven.

Le encantaba criar animales de granja y enseñar a sus hijos y nietos todo lo que sabía.

Era una persona amable, respetuosa y afectuosa, un gran modelo a seguir para todos sus hijos y nietos y difundía la palabra de Dios con frecuencia. Le encantaba leer, hablar sobre la Biblia y cantar sus canciones cristianas favoritas. El Sr. Juan también disfrutaba pasar tiempo con su familia, estar al aire libre, hacer reír a la gente y contar sus historias. A pesar de todos los obstáculos que tuvo que afrontar era un hombre fuerte y positivo; era alguien con quien podías contar cuando necesitabas algo y era amado por todos.

Le precedieron en la muerte su amada esposa de muchos años, Carmelina Jiménez Varela; hija, María Asalia Gutiérrez; hija, María Melisanda Gutiérrez, y nieto, Abelardo Gutiérrez.

Le sobreviven sus hijos, Juan y esposa, Santiaga, y Rodolfo y esposa, Juana; hijas, Lucía y familia y Sonia y esposo, Luis; y nietos a quienes crió como si fueran suyos, Adriana Adame y su esposo Tomás, y Armando Adame y su esposa María.

Descanza en paz padre querido.
