Juan Luis "Oso" Rodriguez
February 1, 1983 – December 17, 2005


Juan Luis "Oso" Rodriguez, 22, passed away Saturday. Mass will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial at Rosemound Cemetery. Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Monday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque.

Oso was born February 1, 1983 in Chicago but was raised in south Waco. He attended University High School where he met Mari Mendez, mother of his one and only daughter and her loving caring mother, Faye Mendez. He enjoyed chillen with his cuddies and helping out with family and friends when he could especially enjoyed being with his daughter as he would say his "pride and joy, Christiana M. Rodriguez. He was a loving father, son, uncle, brother, and nephew, cousin, grandchild and a good "cuddie" to everyone.

Survivors include his mother, Josie Bahena; daughter, Christiana; brother, Enrique Rodriguez and his wife, Maria, and their children, Victor, Eliza, and Adam; sister, Amanda Rodriguez; brother-in-law, David de la Cruz; grandparents, Pedro and Marcela Rodriguez, and aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Angela Bahena.

Pallbearers will be Enrique Rodriguez, Alex and John Hernandez, Miguel and Angelo Flores, and Richard Melendez.

He will always be remembered by his friends and family. He is now out of sight, but in our minds he will always be flying high in the OSO lovely south.
