Mrs. Juanita Lockett Crump, age 84, of Waco, passed away early Sunday morning at her home.
SERVICES
Services will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 17, at North Waco Baptist Church, 2001 McKenzie Ave., with the Rev. Paul G. Smith officiating, assisted by Rev. Nathan Booth and Rev. David Ritsema. Burial will be in Waco Memorial Park.
Mrs. Crump will lie in state at OakCrest Funeral Home beginning Monday morning, and visitation with the family will be Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. A memorial videotape of her life will be shown during visitation.
PERSONAL LIFE
Mrs. Crump was born on December 25, 1918, in Pittsburg, Texas, to James Edward and Clara Belle (Kimball) Lockett. She was married in Sulphur Springs on April 15, 1939, to William R. Crump, and she and her husband have lived in Waco for over 60 years.
She was retired from Owens Illinois Glass Plant after 32 years. The Crumps are longtime members of the North Waco Baptist Church, and enjoyed being members of the Faith Sunday School Class there.
HER CRAFTSMANSHIP
She was especially known for her craftsmanship, and crocheted many beautiful blankets and gifts for family members and friends.
SURVIORS / FAMILY
Mrs. Crump is survived by her husband of 63 years, William Robert Crump; a sister, Mrs. Jennie V. Tadlock of Waco and her husband John, several nieces and nephews, several great nieces and nephews, and several great-great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, William Lockett, who passed away September 14, 2002, and James B. Lockett, who passed away December 19, 1972.
PALLBEARERS
Pallbearers will be George Dellinger, Kevin Tadlock, Kenneth Crump, Kenneth Watkins, Larry Carney, and Kenny Walker. Honorary pallbearers will be John Tadlock, Tad Robnett, Daniel Tadlock, Rohan Pierce, Gary Burnett and members of the Faith Sunday School Class at North Waco Baptist Church.
