Julia Muniz Ochoa
January 1, 1935 – July 10, 2021
Julia Ochoa, 86 of Waco, passed away July 10,2021 at home in San Antonio in the care of her niece, Hilda Muniz after a brief, but courageous battle with dementia.
SERVICES
Graveside services will be at 10 am Friday, July 16 at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 - 8pm Thursday, July 15, at OakCrest Funeral Home with a rosary service at 7 pm.
Deacon Jessie C. Garza will officiate at both services.
HER LIFE
Julia retired from Hillcrest Hospital where she worked for 35 years as a Food Service Cashier and if you were good friends with Julia she made sure you ate for a $1. She loved to gamble and play bingo, and sometimes with family at home played the loteria for long hours and loved to go to the casinos. She had the chance to go to Las Vegas and did not want to come home she loved it there so much.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bruno Muniz and Sista Muniz; husband, Pete R. Ochoa; brothers, Arturo Muniz and Urbano Muniz; and sister, Olga Muniz Salinas.
HER FAMILY
Survivors include her children, Debbie Andrade and husband Ben, Bobby Ochoa, Arthur Ochoa and wife Jennifer, Peter A. Ochoa and wife Irma, and Gabriel Ochoa and wife Angelica. She also leaves many grandchildren, nieces and nephews who loved her dearly, especially her namesake granddaughter, Julia Ann Woodard.
PALLBEARERS
Pallbearers will be Ben Andrade, Anthony Salinas, Francisco Herberth, Alex Ochoa, Aaron Ochoa, Ronnie Vargas.
