June Anderson
June Anderson, 85, passed away Sunday September 9, 2007. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Waco Memorial Park with the Rev. Carroll Hambrick officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at OakCrest Funeral Home 4520 Bosque Blvd.
June was born Sept.7, 1922 to Philip C. and Lucy E. Thomas. She attended Waco schools and graduated from Waco High School in 1940. She worked as a bookkeeper for several years at Gibson Discount Center and Wilkirson - Hatch Insurance Company. She was a member of Beverly Hills Baptist Church for 30 years. She was a faithful servant of the Lord and an example to everyone of her unwavering love and devotion to Him.
June was preceded in death by her parents, brother, son and grandson.
She is survived by daughters Missy Johnson and husband Chuck of Crawford, Jan Schoenborn of Mundelein, IL; brother Dwight L. Thomas and wife Dorothy of Marlin; 4 grandchildren, Amber Johnson, Holly Johnson, Kristen Permenter and T.J. Tucker.
The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to the wonderful staff at Ridgecrest Retirement Center for the outstanding care and devotion to our mother during her stay there especially Petra and Melinda.
