Justin D. Wilcox, 34, passed away July 1, 2013 in a boating accident. His family will hold a private service at Post Oak Cemetery near Oglesby.
Justin was born January 14, 1979 in Waco to Jimmy and Patricia Sue (Bankhead) Wilcox. After graduating from Oglesby High School, he attended McLennan Community College and graduated as a Registered Nurse. Justin was a beloved son and father who made the ultimate sacrifice by saving his own son while doing what they loved to do.
Justin was preceded in death by his mother and his grandparents.
He is survived by his son, Joseph Douglas Wilcox II; his fiancé, Kylie Everett of Sulphur Springs; father, Jimmy Wilcox of Oglesby; sister, Ginny Wilcox and husband, Nick Moreno, and their daughter, Avery, all of Houston; brother, Mike Wilcox and wife, Lisa of China Spring and their daughter, Lindsey, and Donnie Wilcox and wife, Ramona, and his daughter, Cattie-Brie Wilcox. He also leaves many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donation may be made at a Special Account at Oglesby State Bank, PO Box 127, Oglesby, TX 76561, or the Children’s Medical Center in Dallas.
