Katherine Dysinger

Katherine Nell Dysinger, 81 years young, of Speegleville, Texas passed away on September 19, 2023 in Waco, Texas after a long battle with cancer. She was parted this world surrounded by her loved ones.
Funeral services will be 9:00a.m. Saturday, September 30, 2023, at Speegleville Baptist Church, 469 Speegle Rd. Waco, Texas 76710. There will be a luncheon at the church following the service. Graveside service will be at 2:00p.m. Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Waco Memorial Park Mausoleum, 6623 I-35, Waco, Texas 76706. Dr. Joe Bailey will be officiating.

Katherine was born in Tennessee Valley, Texas to Raymond and Annamarie Walls on October 23, 1941. She went to school at University High School in Waco, Texas. Katherine worked for HEB for a total of 32 years, ending as a scanning coordinator. She was very devoted to HEB and loved her job. Katherine also loved to travel, especially going on cruises with her husband Sam or the occasional “girls’ trip”. She was a loving mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed by all who had the joy of her shining personality in their lives.

Katherine was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Walls; mother, Annamarie Morgan; and brother, Raymond Jesse Walls.

She is survived by her husband, Sam Dysinger; son, James Allen; son, Daniel Dysinger and wife, Jeannette; sister, Elizabeth Schmid and husband, Bruce; brothers, Keith Walls and wife, Tanya, and Gary Walls and wife, Donna; grandsons, Hunter Allen, Spencer Allen, and Archer Allen; granddaughter, Alyssa Guerrero; and many loving friends and family.

The family of Katherine Dysinger wishes to extend their sincere thanks to St. Anthony’s Care Center in Waco along with the nurses in the hospice department at Baylor Scott and White-Hillcrest Medical Center for the wonderful care they provided during Katherine’s time with them.
